How to cook ayam rica-rica

An Indonesian traditional dish, ayam rica-rica is one of my favourite dishes. It uses a lot of spices that make the dish delicious.

  • 1 kg of chicken, cut into 4 pieces
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1-2 tbs lime water
  • 2-3 tomatoes

Herbs and spices to mix in the food processor:

  • 1 chili or red paprika
  • 5 garlic bulps
  • 6 red onions
  • 3 tbs fresh garlic
  • 2-3 tomatoes
How to cook it:
  1. Mix the chicken pieces with lime water for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Fry the herbs and spices.
  3. Put the chicken into the herbs and spices.
  4. Add 250 ml of water.
  5. Cook the chicken pieces on medium heat, then cool them down.
  6. Grill the chicken, put turmeric on both sides.
  7. Add the leftover herbs and spices.
