How to make apple crumble cookies

This recipe is based on Jamie Oliver 5 Ingredients Quick and Easy Food apple crumble cookies recipe.
  • 100g dried apple
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 100g unsalted cold butter
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 1 egg

Time needed: 24 minutes.

Makes around 24-28

  1. Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
    Line 1 big tray with baking paper and rub with olive oil.

  2. Let’s make it

    Whiz the apple in a food processor until finely chopped, then add the flour, cubed butter, sugar, and a little bit of sea salt.
    Blitz to fine crumbs for 1 minute. Remove 3 tablespoons of the mix and set aside.
    Pulse in the egg until combined.

  3. Divide the dough

    Divide into 24 pieces, roll into balls, then press down lightly into 4cm rounds on the tray.
    Sprinkle over the reserved mix, pressing it into the cookies. 

  4. Time to bake

    Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
