Japanese Cultural Day in Piteå today attracted many people around Piteå and Luleå.
There were probably around 60-80 people attending the event.
The activities included yukata, Japanese traditional summer costume workshop, calligraphy workshop, furoshiki workshop, origami workshop, and aikido demonstration.
Japanese lunch and afternoon tea were available for sale.
I joined all the workshops. In the calligraphy workshop people could learn to write their names in Japanese. Then they could take the paper home. Furoshiki workshop was useful to give people some ideas on how to wrap and carry things by using a cloth.
My favorite session was the yukata photo session where I could try yukata on.
All in all it was an interesting event. It was great to learn more about Japanese culture.
